I feel a little like you do about the tea parties--the MSM pays little attention to thing such as this unless there is some violence involved and conservatives are not to good at that unless someone is breaking into their home. But they better wakeup for someone is breaking into their home with regulation after regulation and tax after tax. I believe in the old Goldwater quote, "moderation in pursuit of justice is no virture and extremism in defense of liberty is no vice."

Found you via twitter. Visit me sometime at Totus, if you like what you see drop me a comment and I'll add you to blogroll there. Mine is a young blog, but I've worked hard and have it up to a PR4 ranking. See you on twitter--following.

So sorry to hear about Murfreesboro storms and death. My family all live in the area and these are good people who look to help people any way they can. Thanks for the Kroger tip for red cross donations as I will tell my daughter to stop in and donate. God bless Murfreesboro and the wonderful people there.

Nice to see someone take up the defense of Rush. I have argued that he is not the leader of the Republican party defacto or otherwise. He is a strong voice for conservatism and it is no wonder that there are Republicans that hate him. They are the same repulicans that most conservatives have labled as RINO's. Good riddance. We need a strong conservative voice and until our representatives take up the mantle Rush will do just fine.

Great article. I don't like Rush but at one time he was all there was a long time ago. Ic hose to listen to Christian broadcast about what was going on instead. Now I feel that almost all the conservative talk show hosts are narcassit beasts and I can only take doses of them. I need to listen more but why can't they quit screaming? You're right (of course). Rush did lead the way and I will try and listen more to him. I'm from Maryland and Michelle Steele really is more of a liberal Rublican than you see him as. Nice guy but liberal policies. Great and thoughtful article.

It's funny how Rep. Bart Gordon calls himself a "blue dog" but is basically walking in lock-step with the expansion of government while also wasting taxpayer money on trips to Europe for him and his wife. Good job!

Love the site. We, well at least we conservatives, knew that the stimulus was a boondoggle even before it passed. The only evidence needed was that it was written by Pelosi. We need to keep these wasteful projects in the news though, we can't let these guys escape responsibility again like they did with Freddi and Fannie. Keep up the good work.

So if the giant homeless shelther shaped as a glove doesn’t even get one half of one percent of the total stimulus funding, where is it all going?

Economic Stimulus. H.R. 5140, the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008, passed 385-35 on January 29, 2008 (Roll Call 25). It would provide about $150 billion in economic stimulus, including $101.1 billion in direct payments of rebate checks (typically $600) to most taxpayers in 2008 and temporary tax breaks for businesses. Creating money out of thin air and then spending the newly created money cannot improve the economy, at least not in the long term. (If it could, why not create even more money for rebates and make every American a millionaire?) The stimulus has no offset and thus increases the federal deficit by the amount of the stimulus because the government must borrow the rebate money. A realistic long-term stimulus can only be achieved by lowering taxes through less government and by reducing regulatory burdens.Marsha Blackburn voted FOR this bill.(Source: The New American – July 21, 2008)

Marsha Blackburn is my Congressman.
She is no conservative.
